I have discovered a product long time ago (university days) and I must say that I have fallen instantly in love with it!
The program was my All-in-One protection tool at that time giving me the chance to protect a chosen PC without installing "N" protection software, without wasting my time cleaning the system after previous students, without scanning for viruses and running maintenance software non-stop.
The program can create a perfect image of let's say C:/ drive and no matter what you delete, install, infect as soon as the computer is restarted it will revert back to how you've left it prior to freezing procedure. Magic!
Deep Freeze is the only solution that effectively balances workstation security with user productivity. By mapping user and application data to a Thawed (unprotected) partition or drive, users are able to store their documents, pictures, music, etc., while still enjoying the total system consistency that Deep Freeze offers.
A fantastic tool for Internet Coffee Shops, Schools, Libraries, Hospitals, etc.
The program was called Deep Freeze. (http://www.faronics.com/html/deepfreeze.asp)
