Thumbs up How-to remove SpyAxe, SpywareStrike, SpySheriff, Winhound, Smitfraud?

It targets all Smitfraud family
Will also remove: PestTrap, Security IGuard, SearchMaid, Antivirus Gold (AVGold), PSGuard, VirtualMaid, SpyTrooper, VirusRescue and others in the smitfraud family.

1. Download SmitfraudFix and save the file to your desktop.
Double click on the file to extract it to it's own folder on the desktop then update it. Do not scan the computer at this point.

2. Download Malwarebytes , and save the file to your desktop.
Double click on the file to extract it, install it and update it. Do not scan yet.

3. Next, please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
  1. Restart your computer
  2. After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
  3. Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
  4. Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
4. Open the SmitfraudFix and follow the prompts on screen.
Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.

5. Open Malwarebytes and do a full scan. Remove all it finds.

6. Reboot.
